I still will never understand why I am even a little bit surprised to see a MLB player linked with HGH or any type of steroid; but just something still isn't quite clicking in this head of mine. With Game 7 of the ALCS tonight; Game 4 winner, Paul Byrd, is said to have bought $25,000 worth of HGH and syringes from 2002-2005. And while this should make little news, being that HGH was NOT a banned substance at the time; he has "publicly denied using steroids in the past". (I know, another "shocker", a professional athlete lying).
You have to think this is bound to come up just a few times in tonight's game; and if the Indians make it to the WS, will be mentioned when/if he pitches.
Out of all MLB players out there I, for one, just don't think of a Paul Byrd-type player being involved in this too; but I guess everybody is fair game (verdict is still out on Jason Tyner).
