07/07/07 is supposed to be a lucky day. Everyone and their sister (not literally, except for maybe Kentucky) is getting married on this day. Who knows what the date offers in reality, but the entire White Sox organization is going to feel incredibly lucky when the calendar flips a page tonight. Friday was not a good day. Game 1 vs Min
- Lost 20-14 (Pat Neshek missed an extra point)
- Jon Garland - 3.1 IP, 11 H, 12 ER, 3 BB, 2 HR
- Lowest scoring team in baseball, scored 14 runs ... and lost
Game 2
- Lost 12-0
- Justin Morneau - 3 HR
For those of you who passed 1st grade math, that's 32 runs allowed on one day. That has to be a record or something. South Side Sox (who I'm surprised could even formulate words after this) did some research and this was the largest amount of runs scored on one team he could find via Baseball Reference.
Hawk Harrelson summed the day up simply - "They kicked our butt today." I'll say. Ozzie Guillen ... He Gone?
