With 625 yards of total offense, nine touchdowns and a stifling defensive effort, the Oklahoma Sooners schooled Texas Tech in Norman winning by a convincing margin, 65-21. OU quarterback Sam Bradford was 14 of 19 for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns to 4 different receivers, bringing his season TD total to 42 breaking the record set by Heisman Trophy winner Jason White set in 2003. Tailbacks DeMarco Murray rushed for 125 yards and 2 TDs and Chris Brown carried for 108 yards and 3 TDs.
The Sooners showcased a balanced offense with 299 yards rushing and 326 yards passing and was nearly outshined by a stellar defense that held Texas Tech's powerful offense to 21 points, forcing two fumbles and holding the Raiders to 1 of 13 on third down and 3 of 6 on fourth down attempts. The defensive jauggernaut harrassed Tech's QB and former Heisman frontrunner Graham Harrell all night forcing an interception and limited Tech to 45 yards rushing.
OU dominated in all phases of the game making a statement as to where they belong in the BCS race.
