Now The New York Jets Are Fearing Chad Pennington [NFL Training Camp Daily Notes]
Pennington May Bite Jets In the A-S-S During Week 1

Picture of the Day I don't think James Jones had any idea where he was running for the first five yards after this hit. Fortuitously, it was in the right direction.

Now Pennington is a threat Quick to kick him out of town, now New York is worried his departure is going to come back and bite them in the ass. Oddly enough, the Jets vs Dolphins Week 1 matchup has now gone from unwatchable to must watch.

Should AD get paid now? Mike Florio of Sporting News and PFT makes the claim that Minnesota should pay Adrian Peterson right now, before any complications arise in the future. Couldn't agree more. Particularly, before he runs for 2,000 yards and demands more. The scary part is how much is AD actually worth? Do the Vikings have enough?

Too small, too slow, still too good Mike Hart has never measured up to the ideal numbers coaches look for at running back, but as we all know that didn't stop him at Michigan. And now through two preseason games with the Colts, Hart looks nothing like a 6th round draft pick. He leads the team with 12.2 yards per carry (6) and 49 yards on five receptions. Mighty Mike may very well back up Joseph Addai.

Well at least WR is a position of strength Drew Sharp laments that the Detroit Lions only have to playmakers on offense. The good news is that at least they are wide receivers. Certainly, drafted enough.

112 receptions not enough for Wes I can't imagine the Patriots offense being any more explosive than it was last season, but wide receiver Wes Welker wants more. Anyone willing to predict he tops the co-league leading 112 receptions he caught a year ago?

Dang, does this mean I'm going to have to try to draft Welker in my league?  I drafted him last year (yes, before the season started!) and was rewarded greatly.

I don't think he's going to be a late-round pick-up this year.  ugh....

Unless the Patriots find a second reciever to spread out the field with Moss for Welker, he'll never come close to those numbers again.
