Among the silliest comments during the NBA draft coverage was Jay Bilas proclaiming that O.J. Mayo was "NBA ready" upon being selected third by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Seeing as how this was the NBA Draft, and the former USC Trojan was selected third overall, I sure as hell hope he's ready.

And from the looks of his first performance in a Grizzlies uniform, albeit a glorified scrimmage, Mayo looks more than ready. Henry Abbott, who is watching live, gleams about his Friday afternoo n effort, despite eight turnovers.

What we do know is that his transition dunking ability is NBA ready. Hello!

1	Although Mayo didn't have a highlight like this tonight, I'd argue he had a better game. The guy just exudes superstardome.
