Blog Photo - Ohio State fans pulled over in Tennessee over buckeye leaf thought to be marijuana leafTennessee police pulled over a 65-year old woman and her husband for having an Ohio State Buckeye bumper sticker on their car.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The police officers thought that the bumper sticker depicted a marijuana leaf, and was an indication that the couple possessed marijuana.

There are about a million reasons why this is ridiculous, but a few key reasons come to mind immediately.

For starters... shouldn't cops in an SEC state realize a symbol for a college football team when they see one? Not that EVERYONE is a fan, but still.

Second, the buckeye leaf has 5 leaflets, while marijuana leaves have 7.

Third... Is this really a reason to pull someone over? Even if the couple DID have marijuana with them in the car, would they advertise it with a bumper sticker?

Seems a bit absurd, no?

They recommended that the woman remove the bumper sticker from her car, but she won't be doing that anytime soon. She's a Buckeye fan for life, and says "this little old lady is no drug dealer."
