Ohio State vs. Loyola (MD) [Game info and open thread]
About Ohio State:
The Buckeyes (27-7) have been one of the top teams in the nation all season. They finished in a three-way tie for first place in the Big Ten regular season and lost to Michigan State in the conference tournament title game. Ohio State is led by All-American candidate, sophomore forward Jared Sullinger. Sullinger has the ability to completely take over games, and averaged 17.6 points and 9.3 rebounds a game this year. The Buckeyes aren't just the Jared Sullinger show, however. Deshaun Thomas, WIlliam Buford and Aaron Craft can also light it up, if necessary.
About Loyola (MD):
The Greyhounds (24-8) finished second in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference regular season behind Iona, but won the conference tournament to earn an automatic bid the NCAAs. It is only the program's second trip to the tournament ever. Loyola doesn't have one star, but their top scorer and rebounder is junior forward Erik Etherly, who averages 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Thursday's game won't be easy for Etherly, however, who will likely be matched up against Sullinger.
