Oklahoma City Thunder 10 game winning streak comes crashing down against Washington Wizards
Just two days ago Wall was nominated for the All-Star game and on Saturday he ended the match with a total of 6 steals, 15 assists and scored 15 out of 17. During the first half his score stood at 0 for 7 but he improved on it and by the end of halftime it stood at 7 for 11. Small forward Trevor Ariza also played a critical role in the victory, adding 18 points and really suffocating Durant, stopping him from getting out of hand.
Now this will be the 7th time in this season that the Wizards stand at .500. This also means that the Wizards yet again have a golden chance to resolve a problem that has had them locked for a long time. On Monday they will play the Portland Trail Blazers and if they manage to win against them they will be on the winning margin. The last time that they had that was back in October 2009.
Once the Wizards got the lead the Thunder didn’t fight much and slowly lost the game. After the game was over Durant hit the locker room where he talked how he had to at least secure a hundred tickets for the game as he had his legs in compression tubes for a massage after the long game. Playing in front of a home crowd has its advantages but one slip and they will not tolerate it. Neither will the players mind take it well that he is disappointing fans. And the way Durant played on Saturday was a stark contrast to the game he had in his body back in January. Needless to say, Durant didn’t have a good game but will be looking to improve on it in the coming games.
