Once considered the best offensive line in the Big 12 heading into summer practice, injuries have given Oklahoma's front five a new face.Blog Photo - Oklahoma Football: Sooners Lose Another Starting Offensive Lineman

According to ESPN, starting right guard Tyler Evans tore his ACL during Monday morning's practice. He is expected to miss the entire season.

"We feel badly for Tyler and will certainly encourage him through the surgery and rehab," Stoops said. "Bronson Irwin has been playing well and we're fortunate to have good depth. He'll get a lot of reps in the preseason and we'll be ready to go when the season gets here."

It was just last week when starting center Ben Habern announced that he were to retire from the sport after prolonged neck injuries.

Between the two shelved lineman are 59 combined starts—that's irreplaceable experience among a line that was supposed to be the anchor to an explosive offensive unit.

Here's what the starting roster looks like now:

(LT/Senior) Lane Johnson - Former right tackle, zero career starts at left tackle

(LG/Sophomore) Adam Shead - Five career starts at the position

(C/Junior) Gabe Ikard - Played left guard before transition to center, seven total career starts at position

(RG/Junior) Bronson Irwin - Zero career starts

(RT/Sophomore) Daryl Williams - One career start
