I was just watching another scintillating episode of ESPN's College Football Live (read: subjecting myself to the stupidity of Mark May) and there was a not-so-subtle piece of information provided. I know, surprising, right? In an interview with Adarius Bowman, the Cowboys Wide Receiver revealed that he had 20/900 vision last year. 20/900! I'm not sure what the cut off is for legally blind, but either way I'm certain that vision is extremely poor. Consider that a person with normal eyesight can see an object from 900 feet, Bowman has to get within 20 feet to see the same thing. That wouldn't be such a big deal for, say, a nose tackle. But when you're job is catch a quickly approaching object from long distances, you've got a problem. I'm guessing they didn't send him on too many deep patterns last season.
Bowman's numbers last season: 60 receptions, 1,181 yards and 12 touchdowns. I'm just impressed he caught a single football. Adarius had LASIK surgery this offseason, so consider his production when he can actually pick up the football at the same time as a defensive back.
