Oregon QB Bryan Bennett will transfer to FCS school
Bennett, an upcoming junior, nearly left the school last August after finding out he had lost his starting position to freshman Marcus Mariota.
Apparently he didn’t like the taste of second string.
Since he’s moving down a level, Bennett will not have to sit out a year and still has two years of eligibility remaining. He is fully enrolled as of this morning (Tuesday) and should start class soon.
Bennett was very solid during his time as a backup: in two years with the Ducks, he threw for 580 yards and nine touchdowns, while adding 365 yards and six scores on the ground.
