Blog Photo - Owen Daniels Questionable for Sunday NightHouston Texans' tight end Owen Daniels (hip) has officially been ruled questionable for Sunday night's game against the Bears.

"Took a couple of reps. Still very sore," head coach Gary Kubiak said of Daniels. "We've got a little extra time because we play Sunday night, so we'll continue to give him every opportunity to get there. I know it's very important to him, but yet he's got a way to go."

Daniels looks like he'll be a game-time decision for the Texans, and they'll definitely give him the chance to play if he is at all ready. Daniels is second on the team in both receptions and receiving yards, catching 37 balls for 478 yards on the year. He also leads the Texans in receiving touchdowns with five.

Should Daniels not be able to play, tight end/fullback James Casey will get the nod. Kubiak stated that Casey can handle a full tight end workload, suggesting his snap count could rise from 30-35 to 60, should Daniels sit out. As the second tight end and fullback, Casey has 21 catches for 211 yards and a touchdown this season.

Thanks to the game taking place on Sunday night, fantasy owners of Daniels likely won't know his status in time to plug in their backup tight end. Because of that, Daniels' owners should grab James Casey, who should be available on your waiver wire, and play whoever gets the start. The tight end that does start will be a good fantasy play against a Bears defense that has struggled to defend tight ends this year.
