Lucas Moura admits he is having second thoughts about making the right decision by snubbing the opportunity to join Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson desperately tried to acquire the signature of the 20-year-old midfielder, but the former Sao Paulo player opted to join French football giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Manchester United were ready to break their banks for Lucas Moura. Sir Alex Ferguson was willing to smash Manchester United’s transfer fee record by offering Sao Paulo £30.75 million.

However, Manchester United received a surprising rejection from the youngster near the transfer deadline.

The mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain stole Lucas Moura for £38 million at the end of the day. Manchester United had been leading the race for Lucas Moura’s services for months. Moreover, Lucas Moura’s father had been visited Manchester United of Sir Alex Ferguson’s invitation.
It appeared to be a sealed deal between the Brazil international and Manchester United, but Paris Saint-Germain and their tons of cash changed all of that.

“Thiago Silva has told me a lot about the club and its facilities, and it will be nice to have him as my team-mate,” Lucas Moura said.

“However, I have to admit that I do have a bit of fear about how things will pan out. I don’t know how well it will go.

“I am not thinking about money, but I am more concerned with whether my next destination will be the right one.”

Manchester United decided to put their faith in Borussia Dortmund’s Shinji Kagawa and their Youth Academy graduate Tom Cleverley. So far, both have been unimpressive reminders of what it would have been like to have Lucas Moura at Old Trafford.

Lucas Moura also informed that compatriots; Thiago Silva, Maxwell, Nene and Alex played an important role in helping him choose Paris Saint-Germain.

Paris Saint-Germain’s manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is a sworn-enemy of Sir Alex Ferguson will fight tooth and nail to keep Lucas Moura at his side if Manchester United come up with a transfer offer for Lucas Moura.

For now, Lucas Moura seems content with trying out his life at Paris Saint-Germain.
