Blog Photo - Pacers-Celtics game canceled in wake of Boston Marathon tragedyThe NBA has announced that Tuesday's scheduled game between the Pacers and Celtics in Boston will be canceled. The game will not be rescheduled. The cancelation comes on the heels of the tragic bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

The Pacers are currently locked into the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference, while the Celtics have themselves locked into the 7th seed. Considering the game would have meant nothing to the season's outcome, it makes plenty of sense that it be canceled, both out of respect for the city of Boston and to ensure the safety of players and fans.

Both teams will play their season finales on Wednesday night. The Pacers will travel home to host the 76ers, while the Celtics will head up to Toronto to play the Raptors before beginning a playoff series with the Knicks this weekend.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the city of Boston and all those affected by what happened earlier today.
