Pacman Jones Involved In 2007 Club Shooting, Different From Las Vegas Shooting
Uh Oh. Pacman Jones Was Apparently Involved In A Second Club Shooting In 2007
UPDATE: Here's Barr's ESPN article. Apparently Pacman was released by the Cowboys today because of this new information that he was likely involved in another nightclub shooting only 2 months after the one in Vegas. I think you could say his NFL career is officially over.

I don't think anyone was all that surprised that the Cowboys today said they will release Pacman as soon as they possibly can. But it turns out it may not just be because of all the trouble he had in Dallas.

On ESPN today (courtesy of MDS at Fanhouse), John Barr came on the air and said that Pacman Jones was involved in a SECOND club shooting back in 2007. And no, I'm not talking about the one in Vegas that led to his original suspension, I'm talking about a completely different one.

"While under NFL suspension in 2007, Pacman Jones was the man behind a shooting that followed a dispute inside a nightclub," Barr reported. "There are also allegations that he offered to pay an accused murderer to do this shooting."

Barr made it known that he was not referring to the incident in February of 2007, which left a man paralyzed.

"The information that we have relates to an incident four months after that, while Jones was on suspension," Barr said.

Wow. Although I guess I shouldn't be surprised in the least. I mean, this is Pacman we're talking about. This guy got into a fight with his own bodyguards for God's sake.

Anyway, ESPN's Outside the Lines will apparently have more on this second club shooting on Sunday. I think I may just watch that.

My thoughts exactly. If Barr knew this information, the police damn well should so why hasn't he at least been brought in for some form of questioning or anything? Pending charges? Person of interest? Something? While the story itself isn't a far stretch for Jones, it is ESPN and there just isn't something right about that kind of news being broken on radio. There has to be some kind of other kind of twist to it that will come out soon.

One thought is that the Cowboys released him today because this news was just about to break. Who knows, but we'll find out soon enough.

Who says the police don't know? What can they do about it if it's only accusations? The story had to come from somewhere and I'm sure Barr wasn't hanging with Pacman at the club so is it hard to think it may have came from someone with knowledge of a police investigation? Remember, Pacman's a turd, plain and simple.  It's not like they just caught Bin Laden. But I agree, hopefully something soon will come that will flush this turd for good.

My point was that in these types of situations, you usually find out about them when someone is brought in for questioning or some kind of statement or action is made by the police department. It seems rather strange that over a year later Barr is exclusively reporting on it before the police have made any statements or acted at all on the matter. I highly doubt someone as high profile and watched as Jones could have done any of these undetected, unless he is getting some kind of preferential treatment which is unlikely.  Barr reporting on it before anything official has happened is suspicious for either what you said, insider information or some other shady dealings.

Jones wasn't high profile when this supposedly happened, at least not as much as he is now. Also, this is ESPN, and who the hell is John Barr?   You might have read me wrong, but I totally agree. I was just hoping that this works like it did with Plax. The police didn't have to announce anything  because the media did it for them.

Maybe Pac-Man needs a stable Mrs. Pac-Man in his life...Dude is at the Clubs every second...Just chill out man!! Why do some NFL athletes need to prove their "thugness" all the time?

Any owner who is STUPID ENOUGH TO SIGN THIS GUY deserves to get burned!! Don't feel sorry at all for "Jerrah Jones." PacMan has a LONG, LONG history of getting into trouble and yet, some dumbass owner thinks HE will be the one to get through to him. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...............When are these moronic athletes going to realize that playing pro sports is a PRIVILEGE and NOT a GOD GIVEN right..............I'm guessing, oh, NEVER!!!!

Even though I shouldn't care, it kind of pisses me off.  If I got paid to play a sport like football (or any sport for that matter) for a living, you swear I'd do some dumb shit to put that living in jeopardy.  These guys have the life and they piss it all away.  I know he's not the first and he won't be the last, but I just don't get it.  Why?

Wow....the "All-Prison" team is starting to look pretty good.    You have Vick at QB, Rae Carruth at WR, now they have Pacman (or will soon) at CB & return man, and soon Plaxico will join Carruth to form a good 1-2 tandem at wideout.

It may be 'The Longest Yard'............FOR REAL !!!!

I love the fact that he will no longer comment on the matter and there will be a pending lawsuit against ESPIN.  Most athletes would get the benefit of the doubt regarding legal matters unless they had a checkered past like 'Adam' Jones.  Good luck with your lawsuit 'Adam,' I think the Lions have a better chance at going to Superbowl next year than your case even seeing a courtroom.

Pac Man is mentally ill and an alcoholic. Send him to a facility for treatment. Ban him from the NFL and ban him from all strip clubs. Finally send him back to school so he can learn how to speak English.

If he was required by a judge to complete a rehabilitation program, he would most likely off himself because it would be at least 28 days without him being able to 'make it rain!'

I would be okay with him offing himself, It would save someone else the trouble later on.
