After scoring his first goal for Paris Saint-Germain, Zlatan Ibrahimovic came in front of the media and took no time in declaring his new club better than AC Milan. The Swedish international believes Paris Sain-Germain’s big-money double purchase from AC Milan has given his club a huge edge.

Paris Saint-Germain took advantage of AC Mian’s poor financial situation to sign in their veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and young talented defender Thiago Silva.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic took only three minutes to open his goal scoring tab for AC Milan. The feat was achieved in Washington against DC United. Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes he can bring a lot of success to Paris Saint-Germain. The former Juventus and Inter Milan striker was signed in from Rossoneri in July for €23 million.

In an interview after the game against DC United, reporters asked Zlatan Ibrahimovic if he believed Paris Saint-Germain are better than AC Milan. The 30-year-old’s answer was simple – “yes”.

Gaining two world class players at the cost of AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain certainly has an edge over the Italian football giants. Losing, the prodigal Brazilian defender Thiago Silva would have hurt the most. Thiago Silva was signed in for €42 million from AC Milan.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is dreaming big in Paris. Apart from the arrival of Thiago Silva, Paris Saint-Germain has signed a number of other big players as well. The list includes Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi and youngster Marco Verratti from Pescara.

Paris Saint-Germain will turn out to be a dominating force in France and a new powerhouse in Europe next season. They are already favorites to win the Ligue title and are in good position to compete for the Champions League trophy.

“We're aiming for everything,” Zlatan Ibrahimovic said. “We're in the Champions League, we have the two cups in France, so of course a club team has to win everything. We have a top team and we are only missing a winning team.”

In spite of all the praise and glory recorded by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, his coach at Paris Saint-Germain Carlo Ancelotti refrained from pronouncing his club superior to AC Milan. Carlo Ancelotti has won a total of 17 titles with AC Milan during his playing years and managing years at the club.

“I don't know,” Carlo Ancelotti replied when he was asked if AC Milan was a bigger club than Paris Saint-Germain. “It's not important to compare ourselves to another team. [Milan] play a different style with a different philosophy and a different identity. The objective is to improve the quality of our team.”
