Patriots Somehow Pull Out Another Come From Behind Win in Baltimore
"Everyone has a game plan, until they get hit in the mouth."

The Ravens were far more physical tonight, but between the ears didn't always keep it together. You need mind and body at 100% to beat the Patriots this year. You also need some luck which if you watched the game, can agree with me that Baltimore had barely north of zero. From the timeout just before a 4th down stop on the final drive to a tipped ball that was up in the air longer than a Tiger Woods drive but landed in the only place where Ravens' defenders weren't.

Most of you are clamoring about that late holding penalty, but I'd have probably called that one too. The bobbled touchdown catch is null and void because Bart Scott's clinic in composure would have give the Pats a 1st and goal anyway. Seriously, Bart. What the hell? Hilarious, but who throws a flag into the stands.

I think we're all wondering the same thing -- if it wasn't going to happen tonight, will it ever? Pittsburgh can definitely hit you in the mouth, but they won't have the added ammunition of the home crowd.

Lost in all of this will be how fantastic Willis McGahee played on the same day his good friend was put to rest. That's as good as I've ever seen Willis in the pros. And of course, the hail mary CAUGHT at the 1 yard line to end the game (nevermind Derrick Mason wiping out a few Pats).

Great game, which is odd for a Monday night.

Patriots 27, Ravens 24

Well the Steelers have the best defense in the league and specialize in pressure.

They have a well round physical offense.

They can run the ball, they have a generally smart QB.

Heck, I'll just go out on a limb and say it... Pittsburgh will beat New England next week.

Edit : Apparently Rex Ryan isn't even allowed to call that timeout.  Ouch.

Wow the patriots were lucky....in the last 2 min. there were at least 5 instances where it could have gone either way and it ended up going to the pats.  and that holding call, in that situation, was killer.  leave it to the zebras to decide a game instead of letting the players play.  2 weeks ago i thought the pats were untouchable...now i wouldn't surprised if they lost to the steelers AND giants.

I thought the Ravens played an excellent game. They should've won, but that's life.
