We know Bill Belichick will spend all week saying "it's just another game" and "it will be decided by what happens between the white lines" and "we're only focused on beating the Jets," but the truth of the matter is that the game is much more important to him. It could get ugly.
Since it was Eric Mangini who turned the Patriots spying tactics into the NFL, this amounts to a revenge game for Bill and New England who have carried a chip on their shoulder all season; sometimes for no reason at all. Since the Patriots stand a good chance of putting up Grinnell College basketball type points, I have a suggestion that would make the game incredibly entertaining and amount to have an even bigger payback.
Belichick should outline his entire game plan and deliver it to Mangini on Friday. Scripting out the first 15 plays, listing each defense set for every sutation, the whole thing. Heck, even allow the Jets to listen to all the Patriots radio communication Sunday. Then, still see if the Jets would have a chance. Something tells me no.
How can we make this happen and do you think the Patriots would still win with a transparent game plan?
