Patriots vs Ravens: Monday Night Football Game Thread
Can you imagine if it was Kyle Boller who got in the way of the Patriots perfect record? My head starts to explode at the thought ... don't try that at home.

Is there any conceivable way the Ravens pull this off? A month ago it looked like a 10% chance, now I'd say it's right around .015, also the blood alcohol level needed to listen to Don Shula talk about his '72 Dolphins tonight as the celebrity guest.

Since it's not the win or loss that compelling, we'll focus more on the spread. 53% are taking the Patriots at -21.5. This isn't the Baltimore defense of a few years ago that could scare you at home, but I'll give them a chance to keep the game reasonable. The do possess God's linebacker, after all, and I don't think He'd want Bill Belichick going undefeated.

Patriots 38, Ravens 21

It's Monday Night Football. Q it up here.

Fun so far. What got into Kyle Boller? Maybe it's the severe wind that actually make him accurate in the end.

Why haven't the Ravens ran the ball this much all season?  If they did, they'd probably have a shot at being an above .500 team.

No, they haven't.   They had thrown 414 times to 274 rushing attempts coming in to this game, which is one of the more pass heavy in the league.  Tonight, 15 passes, 32 runs.

Dumb INT.  That was incredibly avoidable.  Like Feeley's pick last week, that could prove to be the difference between a win and a loss.

I realize we're talking about an 11-0 team here, but New England's defense is definitely suspect.  Two bad offenses in a row have given them problems.

That was just a crap call right there. How did the refs not have enough evidence to overturn that call when they had a perfect angle and everyone could see it? I am saying this as just watching the game and not letting my bias of wanting the Pats to lose either. Just crap.

What a joke.... if New England plays the way they have the past weeks they won't just lose to Pittsburgh, it'll be a dominant win for Pittsburgh.  Of course, New England probably won't play like this.

Those penalties may very well have cost the Ravens the game. If they could have just started that drive 5 yards closer, that pass would have been in the end zone.

Who ever caught that ball should pulled a Moss and toss that ball backwards for the TD.

Now when we are going to be doubting the Patriots, I can't help to think that that Patriots are just going to destroy Pittsburgh in a statement game. This sucks.

They had them so many times.  4th down, stopped them, timeout.  4th down, stopped them, false start.   And Bart Scott, you a moron.  Hell, after the first 30 yards, he was still yelling at the ref and I was waiting for another.  If he doesn't go off on that, they probably start around the 30-40 yard line, and could have very realistically gotten in to field goal range.

Are you seriously thinking that there were not refutable calls that went the Patriots way, late in the game, and that after that, the frustration caused the Raven's meltdown? I can not stand it when any team ( INCLUDING DALLAS) wins on a rob!

Yeah. I think the Ravens beat themselves by making incredibly stupid mistakes down the stretch. I don't feel like the Pats robbed that game at all. I'm not impressed with how they played, but I don't think you can blame anything on the refs.
