The big man thinks he’s back to full health though and talked about it after Tuesday’s game.

When asked how he’s doing, Pau said:

"I'm getting there. I'm not at 100 percent. Unfortunately, I had to go through two weeks of this respiratory infection that has been killing me. But now I feel better. I finally feel like I'm over it. I was able to push myself better, and I felt better (Sunday). So I look forward to continuing to build on that and get closer to that hundred percent… I was feeling pretty well during the preseason, but the minutes were low 20's. So we didn't really push into the 30's... But the thing is the minutes that I play, I want to feel well. I want to feel strong, I want to feel explosive and not getting tired after five minutes. That's the way it has been going the last two weeks, fighting this infection."

Gasol also feels that he’s getting some of his athleticism back:

"Yeah, a little bit. I was getting fatigued really quickly. I've got to get my wind and my conditioning better, and tonight I felt better. So it's a positive sign for me."

The fatigue has been all to evident in Gasol when it comes to his defensive play, and also his offensive rebounds. Hopefully the Spaniard is as healthy as he’s claiming to be because they Lakers could really use his aggressiveness in the paint.
