Paul Pierce Has No Hard Feelings
The Brooklyn Nets formally introduced their new trio of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Jason Terry. While Garnett has played for the Boston Celtics for a handful of years, and Jason Terry one year, it was Paul Pierce that played his entire NBA career as a Boston Celtic.
However, the former Celtic had no hard feelings against his team, despite the hard transition. You would think that Pierce had bitterness towards GM Danny Ainge, but quite the contrary. In classy fashion, Pierce said, “There's some sentimental things that go along with me and Danny being together for so long. If I was a GM and I looked at the situation, I think I probably would have made the same decision…at the end of the day, he works for the Boston he doesn't work for Paul Pierce."
Pierce went on to say that the transition of moving to another team and another city was buffered by the fact that KG and JET would be joining him in the move. Furthermore, the trio will be joining a championship caliber team in a big market city. Winning cures all woes. So, as sad as Pierce might be right now, once the Nets start winning games, it’ll heal all wounds.
