Boston Wins Game 7 and Advances to Eastern Conference Finals
by gearhead

The home streak of this series wasn't broken, but we finally got an entertaining game as the Boston Celtics advance to their first East Finals since 1988. The game turned into a battle between Paul Pierce and LeBron James, a battle that reminded everyone of the famed Bird-Wilkins tilt twenty years ago. Like that year, the result was simliar. LeBron won the scoring battle with Pierce 45-41, but the Celtics won the game.

The difference in this one was the end. The Cavs didn't execute 100% down the stretch: West's wide open three point miss, the poor shot LeBron took, the missed free throw from LeBron. Meanwhile, the Celtics stayed calm and hit all their free throws when they needed it, including one by Pierce that bounced off the rim and stayed in the air for what seemed like an eternity.

We now get the East Finals that everyone assumed would happen since at least February, Boston vs. Detroit. The Celtics get home court again. Can they keep this run of win at home, lose on the road going, or will they need to win at the Palace to advance to the Finals?

I think the C's need to win one on the road to move on to the finals but I thought that in the first 2 series too. I hope Pierce keeps this going because Allen is lost out there and KG just can't carry a team when needed, the Pistons are a great all around team and the C's will need Pierce to play great in order to move on. Go Celtics.

Glad to see you're back on board.  A microcosm of Boston fans as a whole I'm sure.  The Celtics might need two on the road this time.

Never off board. You are clueless, just because I was saying Ray Allen sucks and was posting about 10 minutes after a loss in anger doesn't mean I was off board. 1. Ray Allen does suck, 2. You have never been so angry after a loss that your said some stupid stuff?? Well maybe you haven't because you're from Colorado and all those teams suck but many a person have said something the don't mean in the heat of the moment. Now please leave.

lol, of course YOU would hate it, you're an inbred retard.  It's scenically stunning and warmer annually than San Diego.  I wish more people were like you, the population is doubling every year.  I'm sick of all the Californians scuzzing up the joint.

And the Broncos are 29-14 against the Patriots all-time (including overcoming Spygate in that glorious Champ pick-6 divisional thrashing).  The Avs are 8-3-2 against the Bruins.  The Rockies were 5-4 against the Red Sox until the World Series.  The Nuggets are surprisingly close to .500 against the Celtics considering the difference in talent in the late 80s/early 90s.

So anyway, keep living in only the present and drooling off at the tap.  You're one of my favorite mental midgets.  Every time you say something it's legendarily stupid.

Whatever.  You always bring the insults first.  I'll be sure to keep the vocabularly at a post-8th grade level so you're confused and in fact do stay away.

I insulted your city, not your person.
