The Boston Red Sox are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park today, and they put on a pre-game show that brought thousands of Sox fans to tears. They brought back as many players as possible who have ever put on a uniform, from Jose Canseco to Mo Vaughn to Dennis Eckersley to Mike Stenhouse, they pulled out all the stops.
It was all an incredibly classy affair, featuring maestros John Williams and Keith Lockhart, and was all tastefully done.
Well... until someone decided to give Kevin Millar a microphone, and have him perform the toast to Fenway.
The two of them were clearly a bit sauced, particularly Millar, and it ended up being a pretty awkward moment for everyone.
Check out the video over at Deadspin. It's priceless.
