There was lots of scoring in game 1 and it definitely came in bunches, for both teams. New York struck in the first period when Martin Straka scored on the power play. Chris Drury then scored 1:52 into the second period followed by Sean Avery a minute and a half later. New York led the game 3-0 for a while until Jarkko Ruutu and Pascal Dupuis scored 14 seconds apart later in the period. The Rangers headed to the third with a 3-2 lead, but again, the Penguins scored quick and fast. Marian Hossa scored 4:40 into the period, then Peter Sykora buried a pass from Evgeni Malkin to give the Penguins a 4-3 lead. Scott Gomez scored midway through the third as New York fought back. However, Malkin netted the game-winning goal, tipping a Sidney Crosby shot with just over a minute to go in the game. Pittsburgh won the game 5-4; the teams meet Sunday at 2:00pm on NBC for game 2.
San Jose controlled much of the first period as they out shot the Dallas Stars 10-2, but couldn’t put one past Turco. The Sharks did, however, scored the game’s first goal 4:50 into the second period as Milan Michalek scored his first goal of the playoffs. A little over a minute later, Mike Modano scored on the power play for Dallas and the game was not tied at one, but not for long. Dallas again scored 3 minutes later with a goal by Brendan Morrow. The 2-1 lead would hold up until the waning minutes of the third period. With three minutes left, Jonathan Cheechoo pushed the puck past Marty Turco as a crowd gathered in the crease. Dallas had a power play in the final few minutes but could not score on it. The game remained tied at 2-2 and would go to overtime. Only 4:39 in, Star’s captain Brendan Morrow scored his second of the game to give Dallas the 3-2 OT win and a 1-0 lead in the series. Game 2 is Sunday night at 9:00pm on Versus.

I have watched both games (actually all 3--sorry about the third game, I was kind of pulling for your team),and I wasn't saying Crosby wasn't getting calls in his favor or that they were justified calls. I was just saying that this has gone on in the NHL for a long time---of course the last time the Kings got calls like this, Gretzky was on the team. Calls like this aren't really new.
