Tonight's Pens/Lightning game was a game 2 1/2 months in the making. Last week, Marc-Andre Fleury made his long awaited return to the team, and tonight he was flawless. He faced 35 shots, and not a-one made it past his glove. Fleury earned his 9th career shutout in a game where the Pens struggled to get shots on goal through the first 2 periods. Up on offense, things appeared headed for overtime and possibly even a shootout, BUT... With less than 3 minutes to play in regulation, Maxime Talbot scored the game's first goal, after being set up by Sidney Crosby. Yeah, you heard me right, Sid the Kid made his long-awaited return to the ice tonight in Tampa! He didn't disappoint. While missing some scoring chances, Crosby helped put together what turned out to be the game-winning goal. Also, since Montreal lost in an offensive barrage last night in San Jose 6-4, this gives the Penguins 83 points, and the lead in the Eastern Conference! With Hossa slated to miss only a week or so, Fleury back in net, and Crosby back in the spotlight, this team is turning out to be the most feared in the league. They're getting their stars back at the perfect time, and it's time for Crosby to pick up right where he left off. We're dancin' to the Ice House Rock in Pittsburgh again...LET'S GO PENS!
BK over and out!
