At 36 and retired, Pete Sampras is still the best American tennis player today. Andy Roddick and James Blake would love to have done what Pete did today -- beat Roger Federer in straight sets.

Of course, it was just an exhibition and only the best of three sets but still you have to think Sampras could win a few tournaments if he gave it another shot.

"Let's not get carried away, I had my time in the 90s."

Come on, Pete. How about at least give Wimbledon a shot next year?

1	Thats pretty amazing. It'd be awesome if he trained all year and gave Wimbledon one last chance. It'd create some positive excitement for tennis.
