So let me get this straight -- Peyton Manning threw 6 interceptions, Rex Grossman led a comeback victory with his arm and Adam Vinatieri missed a clutch FG? What a truly bizarre Sunday afternoon. I know the San Diego Chargers won this game, but if possible, I think even less of Norv Turner. A 23-point lead was nearly blown and probably should have been. The Indianapolis Colts couldn't have played a worse game and yet there they were with a chance at a winning FG (or TD. I didn't get why that was a false start penalty, did you?). When you get two special teams touchdowns and manage to intercept the games best QB 6 times the fact this was even close was an incrimination of the head coach.
For the Colts, it might be a bigger loss than I initially realized. Indianapolis needs home field advantage in the playoffs and now the Pittsburgh Steelers are a threat to pull off the 2nd seed. Indy is a better team, but I don't think you want to be playing at Heinz Field in January when you rely so heavily on offensive communication and timing. Technically this puts San Diego still in the running for a playoff spot but they're so poorly coached several more losses are inevitable.
Lastly, Antonio Cromartie has had an incredible three week stretch. Week 8: 2 touchdowns, 1 TD; Week 9: 109+ FG return TD; Week 10: 3 INT
Chargers 23, Colts 21 (Boxscore)
