Earlier in the season, Seahawks CB Richard Sherman said that Broncos QB Peyton Manning throws "ducks," meaning his passes sometimes weren't great spirals and were less than powerful throws.

Since no stone is ever left unturned during the week before the Super Bowl, a reporter asked Peyton Manning what he thought about that.

Somewhat surprisingly, Manning agreed with Sherman.

"They say he's a smart player, and I don't think that's a real reach what he's saying there. I do throw ducks. I've thrown a lot of yards and touchdown ducks, so I'm actually quite proud of it."

Media members went back to Sherman with that quote, and he wasn't surprised at all.

"Oh, I agree. That's exactly what I said. That's what I said. It sounds like a repeat of what I said. He is a great quarterback, he does a great job. At the same time, when he catches the ball, he doesn't necessarily catch the laces all the time. He throws an accurate ball in regards to how he catches it, he just gets it on time and delivers it accurately."

It was the most civil and friendly round of trash talk that I've ever heard between two competitors as fierce as Sherman and Manning.

It's going to be great to see these guys go at it on Sunday.

Watching Peyton, I think the most important aspect of his game is that his passes are always on time. He'll sacrifice a firm grip on the laces to make sure the ball arrives when it's supposed to.

and he'll throw enough ducks to defeat the team from North West America...
