Mandatory Credit: Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRETo use a phrase from Chick Hearn, there are two chances that Phil Jackson will return to coaching: “slim and none probably,” he told TMZ.

After the fiasco with the hiring of Mike D'Antoni and the weird way Jackson was not hired, it's good to know there are no hard feelings, though. Jackson was asked about it and said:

“I really wasn’t looking to coach again. That one was happenstance and it just came about. Well, we never discussed any terms, so there was never anything that was unfair. It was just a midnight coup. It was kind of weird.”

The Man With 11 Rings is all about being zen, so it isn't surprising that he would respond this way when asked about the decision. It's also not shocking that he isn't looking for a coaching position. It's rumored that his absence at away games were part of the talks that went on, because of his bad knees.

Also, since he's been with the daughter of the Lakers owners for years, he likely doesn't want to cause any further rifts in the family.
