The World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies have been relatively quiet so far this offseason. They haven't made any big free agent signings or trades yet, aside from the dubious signing of Chan Ho Park. This is probably because they have their priorities straight.
On Thursday, they announced the roster of their 2009 Phillies Ball Girls. There are 19 total. 10 of them are returning from last year, and 9 new girls made the team, after more than 1,600 originally applied. 120 of those were invited to actual tryouts after the applications were sifted through, and the lucky 9 will join the team in 2009.
