"Their point guard came down the lane and passed it. I stole the ball from him and got out on a fastbreak. . . . I went right-to-left and he reached for the ball and, when he reached, he got his fingers in my eyes and it was kind of hard to finish the play."
Kind of hard to finish the play? You think.
Said Jason Walberg of Pepperdine who will be getting a lump of coal in a few days:
"He missed the layup real bad. I kind of wondered why, but that's the reason, obviously. I thought there was going to be a whistle because he missed the layup. But there wasn't."Reaction: Did it hurt? [Salt Lake Tribune]
"When I saw the picture, my reaction was, 'Wow.' It was like, 'No way.' I remember hitting him the face, but it happened so fast, I didn't even know I hit him in the eye. . . . I sure don't remember touching his eyeballs or anything."

Yea, I remember it. Allan Ray's eye at the time looked like it came out of the socket.
Not fun.

This pic is timed so perfectly. It almost makes it look like he did it on purpose. I can't believe how awesome this is. It immediately became my new wallpaper on my desktop. An instant classic!

That was in the last ESPN Magazine...I was just reading it yesterday, and had the girlfriend look over my shoulder to "be interested" and was disgusted for a good hour or so.
