Pittsburgh Pirates fan Rick Sporcic has been taking his oversized glove to PNC Park for Pirates games since the middle of last season, and has apparently caught around 300 balls, but this is somehow the first time he has been caught on television.
@corkgaines no problem...he's caught over 300 balls in PNC since the middle of last year but they never seem to catch him on camera.— Tyler Moorehead (@TMoorehead627) April 16, 2013
This time, he was captured on film, catching a foul ball that was just out of the reach of Cardinals outfielder Carlos Beltran.
Here's the video, in case you missed it:
I've been to almost 100 games in my life (mostly at Fenway Park), and I still haven't come away with a single foul ball or home run ball. Have you ever gotten a game ball at an MLB game? And do you think you'd bring a glove like this to a game?
