Okay....as fanatical as I am about college basketball, I just couldn't stay up late for everything Thursday night. Does that make me less a fan of the Bubble Madness? I hope not, but I know there a lots of people (those who get paid and those who do not) who did and I thank them for staying up. Now there are people like me who impulsively get up early to catch up. So this morning, this will be my unexpert take on what I think will happen if today were the selection day. I think today will finally be the day that things begin shaping up as far as where the Bubble falls. Of course, this being the bizzarro Bubble season, God only knows. Anyway, here we go.....

Teams still firmly on the Bubble who are still playing:

-Virginia Tech: May still have to win two more games

-Kansas State: Big one today against Texas A&M

-Miami seems locked up now

-Temple/St. Joseph's: I think if they meet in the A-10 final, the loser has a good chance of getting in

-Oklahoma: They seem solid, but I'm still iffy

-Ohio State: Everyone seems to have them in, but if they lose today....

-Kentucky: Same as Ohio State....

-Arkansas: I think if they Vanderbilt, they're more on solid ground



Teams finished who have faint chances:

-Baylor: Unfortunately, the Committee doesn't believe in sentimentality

-Dayton: Will injuries be looked at?

-Illinois State: Losing to Drake the way they did puts them WAY on the outside

-South Alabama: Here's hoping for a solid Mid Major

-VCU/New Mexico: It used to be 24 wins would be enough no matter what; both are very shaky right now

-Arizona: #1 in SOS shouldn't entitle teams; they still lost 13 games

-Oregon: Chances are not ducky

-Arizona State: If they get in it's because the Committee made a deal with the (Sun) Devil

-Maryland: We do not fear the Turtle; absolutely done

-Florida: Will not defend their titles

-Syracuse/Villanova: I think both aren't getting in

-UAB/Houston: Both are not getting in

-UMass: Very faint chances, but I'd be shocked if they got in

-Mississippi: Down river and sunk
