So ends April and we start May, what bits of wit and witticism do I have?

Not much, but I am going to fire off a couple of quick rounds before I bolt.

White Sox - Some how holding on to the AL Central lead. Hey guys how about mixing in some hits? It would be nice. Offensively this team is trying to crawl back into the pit of despair that was the 2007 season. The pitching has been there, but no has ruined some nice outings. So far, I have been really impressed with Danks and Floyd so far, but it is only May.

NFL Draft - I will sum it up quickly, trades, reaches, steals, upside and Kiper's hair attacked and killed a prostitute errr female independent affection contractor, while in New York. Some say Mel's hair was crafted by hobos, who built it as a super-weapon during the hobo uprising of the 30's. If you don't know about the hobo uprising then read John Hodgeman's  (or as many of you know him as Mr. PC in the Apple Ads) "The Areas of My Expertise".  

Denver Broncos - Traded for a DT with creaky knee (why does this sound like Courtney Brown...). Which actually was worth the risk, if he a washout before the season then the Broncos don't lose a draft pick. In my partially informed opinion (still doing some reading) I think they had a decent draft. Like Clady, not sure about Royal and so on and so on. We will see come the Fall since drafts are like boxing, everyone has a plan till they get hit in the mouth.  Well a long with a left tackle to protect Cutler it looks like we may need the Surgeon General as well. Nothing like seeing your franchise QB diagnosed with Type I diabetes, nice off-season kick to the nuts. I am hoping he will be alright just in general, oh I still would like a playoff appearance, but even if Jay was in an Iron Lung, he still would be better than Griese.

Lakers - First round went better than I expected. Like a lot of what I saw, but still too many guys getting to the rack and grabbing offensive rebounds. So if they can ratchet up the D and keep playing team ball they have a punchers chance.

L.A. Kings - Amazingly, still apart of the NHL. That being said, I ask that we please pick well at this years draft. Also there is not rule about not having multiple picks become quality NHL players. Look, I checked the rule book.

Man Utd. - Good news playing for UEFA Cup Final. Bad news has allowed Chelsea to get back into the race who they will also face in the UEFA Finals. Right now both team are even on points but Man Utd ahead on Goal Difference. So this season could go pear-shaped.

I could go on and on, but I will spare you. Right now I have to get going. Taking a couple days off to visit the greatest city founded in 1905, Las Vegas. Where I will crush any and everyone playing Keno. I will taunt and mock all the old people! Then after that, I am going to take that small fortune (Look I only play Keno to win, it's not for the money, it's never been about the money....) and parlay that into billions playing the Big 6 wheel.
