Quincy Pondexter Out For the Season
The injury bug has bitten the Memphis Grizzlies pretty hard this season, but the bite got even worse today. The Grizzlies most versatile player off the bench, Quincy Pondexter, is out for the season with a stress fracture in his foot. Pondexter could play the 2-3-4 positions and was able to spread the floor for a team without many shooters. The Grizzlies will now have to lean heavily upon the injury prone Mike Miller and Jerryd Bayless to spread the floor, in order for their bigs to feast in the middle.
However, with Marc Gasol still out and Ed Davis nursing an injured left ankle they are barely able to take advantage of their size inside.
The Grizzlies may have to make a trade soon or they may not even make the playoffs with their current depleted lineup.
