After quietly dismantling their team, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have signed two new players.
On Wednesday, the Angels signed free agent Joe Blanton to a two-year $15 million contract with a third year club option.
In addition to him, they also signed a two-year contract with Sean Burnett.
There has been talk that the Angels were looking to resign Zach Greinke, but his enthusiasm has been reportedly waning. In light of this, signing two new pitchers makes resigning Greinke even more unlikely.
Over nine seasons, Blanton has a 4.37 ERA and is 83-75, however, he was 10-13 with a 4.71 ERA last season between the Phillies and Dodgers.
Burnett has a 3.58 ERA and a 15-23 record.
Hopefully they help beef up the bullpen like they're hoping.
