It seems like pitcher Zack Greinke may be staying in Southern California.
According to sources, Greinke and the Dodgers met on Thursday and met with the Angels at some other point in the week.
The Texas Rangers and Washington Nationals have also expressed interest in Greinke, but it could be a tough sell. The Angels are an appealing team, but the Dodgers have ridiculously deep pockets and aren't afraid to empty them out.
They've reportedly got a $6 billion TV deal in the works, so even though they already have a hefty payroll, they can give him the rumored six year $150 million contract he's seeking.
However, the dodgers aren't putting all their eggs in one basket. They've also shown interest in Kyle Lohse.
Whoever they end up signing, hopefully it will help their bullpen. They should just be weary of these very large contracts because if the players are busts, they won't likely be able to trade them away. Then again, with $6 billion, they could just as soon buy them out too.
It's also possible, that despite the Dodgers being able to give him such a big payday, Greinke may want to stay with his previous team in Anaheim.
