RGIII Set for Revenge Against NY Giants
This time, the Redskins get their divisional foe Giants in Washington D.C. with an opportunity to move closer to a playoff spot. Griffin is coming off two spectacular games in which he threw for 4 touchdowns in each one, both victories, including an impressive first half against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. Griffin is poised and calm in the pocket and typically makes the correct read, which is even more impressive as a rookie.
Most expect a rookie QB to not only make mistakes, but make them often, but Griffin has proven time and time again that he is able to limit his miscues and maximize his opportunities with the benefit of having quick feet outside the pocket and a cannon for an arm.
The Giants were able to limit Griffin's damage last time around with a very disciplined defensive line attack, however, this time around it will be tough to duplicate - because just as defenses make adjustments, so do students of the game - and Griffin embodies what a studious quarterback may become.
RGIII passed for 258 yards with 2 touchdowns and a pick (plus 89 rushing yards) in their first meeting, and as the season progressed, RGIII has as well - raising expectations that he continues to not only meet, but surpass.
Expect a big time performance from Griffin on Monday Night Football as he shines under the spotlight and in primetime against a team like New York.
