Mandatory Credit: Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY SportsIt looks like the Angels and Dodgers are really in a race to see who can get more headlines, and now it's the Dodgers turn again.

There are reports floating around that the Dodgers are shopping Andre Ethier, with their aim being to get a free agent. Nick Swisher and Michael Bourn are the names their looking at right now.

But there are other people “with knowledge of the Dodgers' thinking” who said that a couple of American League teams started the rumors. The source added that they aren't shopping him, necessarily, but they're listening to offers.

Since his contract is a bitr large for his productivity, the Dodgers may even be willing to pay part of it in a trade. Another source said,  “I wouldn’t put anything past them. They’ve got so much money, they don’t care.”

Either has alluded to wanting to move several times before he inked his latest contract with the club, and before the new ownership group was put in place.

There are always a lot of options for where a player can go, but the Dodgers expand that significantly with their moneybags approach to everything. It will be interesting to see if Ethier does move somewhere else.
