Rams Upset Redskins: NFL Week 6 Early Scores and Recaps
Rams, Texans, Falcons, Vikings All Win At The Last Possible Moment

Let's take a look at week 6's early games which featured a lot of insane endings.

Rams Upset Redskins 19-17: So much for the Redskins.  Three fumbles lead to their demise in this game, one recovered for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter.  On that play, LG Pete Kendall caught a deflected pass and fumbled it away.  The Redskins had 368 yards to the Rams 200.  Josh Brown was money on field goals, and Richie Incognito tried to lose it for the Rams by getting a boneheaded penalty yelling at the ref.  That led to the game winning field goal being a 49 yarder, but Brown came through.  Washington is now 4-2, and the Rams get their first win and are 1-4.

Texans Win on TD Run 29-28 With 3 Seconds Left: This one was back and forth all day.  The Texans 485 yards to the Dolphins 370.  Surprisingly, only 96 yards rushing for Miami.  The Dolphins took 28-23 with less than two minutes in the game on a Ronnie Brown run.  But the Texans would not surrender, as Matt Schaub marched them down the field.  With 3 seconds on the clock, 4th down, 3 yards away from the endzone, the Dolphins left the middle of the field open, and Schaub ran it himself for the game winning touchdown.  Houston gets their first win and are now 1-4, while Miami is 2-3.

Falcons Snatch Victory From Jaws Of Defeat 22-20
:  Statistically a fairly even game.  Michael Turner was shutdown, but Matt Ryan stepped up big time,  22-30, 301 yards and a touchdown.  Up 6, late in the game, Jason Elam shanked an easy field goal for the Falcons.  The Bears proceeded to move down the field and score on a touchdown pass to Rashied Davis with only 11 seconds in the game.  After a squib kick, Ryan found Jenkins for a 26 yard pass to set up a 48 yard field goal.  And as time expired, Jason Elam redeemed himself, his 5th field goal of the game.   The Falcons are 4-2 (Seriously) and the Bears are now 3-3.

Vikings beat Lions in 12-10 snoozer:  When you almost lose to the Lions, you're in trouble.  The Vikings had 392 yards to the Lions 212.  Kevin Williams had 4 sacks for the Vikings, but Peterson fumbled twice, and it still took a questionable pass interference call late to set the Vikings into field goal range with 12 seconds left.  Longwell came through on the 26 yarder, giving the win to the Vikings.  Minnesota is 3-3, and the Lions are 0-5.

Colts flatten Ravens: For the first time all year, the Colts looked like the Colts of old.  Despite running back injuries, the passing game was successful.  Reggie Wayne had 118 and a touchdown, while Harrison had 83 for two touchdowns.  Plus, the run defense was strong, holding the Ravens to 51 yards.  Robert Mathis had 3 sacks and a recovered fumble.  Colts are now 3-2 and the Ravens fall to 2-3.

Saints destroy Raiders 34-3: Nothing to see here.  Drew Brees owned the Raider D, he was 26-30, 320 yards and 3 touchdowns.  The defense was solid shutting down the Raider pass game, but that doesn't take much talent.   As we already knew, Lane Kiffin wasn't the problem of the Raiders.  Saints move to 3-3 while the Raiders are 1-4.

Jets defeat Bengals 26-14:  Not an impressive game for Brett Favre, he threw for under 200 yards and threw two picks.   However, the Bengals never cease to fail.  The Bengals had 43 rushing yards, and only 20 of those were by running backs.  The Jets are now 3-2, and the Bengals officially have the worst record in football at 0-6.  It's only a matter of time until Marvin Lewis gets the boot.

Buccaneers beat Panthers 27-3:  All Buccaneers all the time.  The Panthers only ran for 40 yards and Jake Delhomme threw 3 interceptions.  Warrick Dunn had over 100 yards and Jeff Garcia was efficient.

The strange thing is, now the Buccaneers, Panthers, AND Falcons are all tied at 4-2.  Plus, the Saints are 3-3.  That's just insane.

Tons of crazy finishes, and much more. Once again, proof that the NFL is by far the best thing out there in the sports world.

Afternoon games are underway.  Enjoy.
