Superstud Patriots receiver Randy Moss is looking to expand his burgeoning business empire to an entirely different sports venue.
He is already the owner of a pair of successful juice-bar franchises…whose employees completely worship him, we learned in quick calls to both establishments…in his adopted hometown of Charleston WV.
Moss now wants to significantly increase his portfolio with a bit riskier venture by entering into the high-stakes world of professional motorsports. Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the perennial All-Pro has introduced Moss Motorsports compete as early as this season in NASCAR’S Craftsman Truck Series and will launch a full-time campaign in 2009. Moss isn’t a stranger to the world of competitive racing, having lent his name and presumably his wallet to a dirt-track team and served as a "Goodwill Ambassador" for the Urban Youth Racing School, which promotes auto racing to kids in the inner city areas of the country.
What it all boils down to is that Randy is an ultra-competitive dude who isn’t even really a football fan off the field. He considers himself a simple country boy at heart, so what better sport for him to try and conquer?
Can former super-duper jackass Randy Moss set aside that massive ego long enough to schmooze potential sponsors and ‘handle’ rowdy, inconsistent drivers when they take plays races off? Should be fun finding out.
