Rasheed Wallace is signing with the Lakers

The Lakers apparently believe they have a need for 'Sheed

In one of the most hilariously desperate moves you'll see all season, the Lakers are apparently on the verge of luring Rasheed Wallace out of retirement to play for them.

Wallace last played in the 2009-10 season with the Celtics, when he played 22.5 minutes per game and averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds per game.

Wallace was laughably inefficient for the Celtics, and now that he's taken over a year off, it's hard to believe that he's really going to be an effective option for the Lakers. Someone in their front office seems to think so, however.

What's the over/under on technical fouls this year for 'Sheed? I'm going to put it at 8, since we're already halfway through an already-shortened season. Good luck, Rasheed. I'll be watching. And probably laughing.

They should probably wait and see it they can't get Howard from the Magic. I hate that we're going to lose such a dominate player, but the Lakers could get him.
