Ray Allen to Kevin Garnett: "I See You Boy!"

Much ado about nothing. Ray Allen, after five years and one championship in Boston as part of the 'Big Three', left the Celtics this offseason and joined the enemy Miami Heat. Kevin Garnett didn't take kindly to that, and made sure to air out his dirty, arrogant laundry in the press. "I don't have Ray's number anymore. I'm not trying to communicate. I'm just being honest."

Allen was seeing a diminished role in Boston as they incorporated Avery Bradley more into the starter role and transitioned more toward limiting Allen into spurts. Who can blame him for wanting to leave? Besides, he gets to live in Miami over Boston. Is it too crazy to East Coasters to understand why players enjoy migrating to good weather? Los Angeles and Miami are top destinations as they lie on the coast and the lack of snow during the winter makes for comfortable living situations.

Allen went over to say hello to the Celtics staff prior to tip and was seen giving Garnett a friendly, "I got you" shove to which Garnett simply shrugged off and muttered something to himself under his breath as usual. I mean, I grew up watching Garnett - everyone loved him. But that dude has just gone off the deep end mentally, no? He's still got game, no one doubts that, but he has some psychological being living within him.  It's a symbiotic relationship - Garnett has embraced his inner self. 

Garnett can deal with his inner dialogue tonight as he stews over an extremely efficient performance from his former teammate to bury the Celtics on opening night. 19 points, 5-7 from the field, 2-3 from downtown and 7-8 from the line. He did what he was supposed to. Knock down shots and get to the free throw line where he rarely misfires. 

I see you KG! Ray's inner dialogue must have been in full effect. Throwing it right back at the over-the-deep-end Garnett. Good for Allen. Good for the Heat. Balanced attack completely dismantled a very tough Celtic team on the night they received their championship rings. Great start to what will definitely be a spectacular season.
