After taking 3 out of 4 from the Yanks it was off to Cardinal land where the Rays took the first of the series but lost the other two games. The positive to take from the Cardinals series, the Rays lost game 2 and 3 by 1 run. They could have easily won either game. Then it was off to Oakland where the Rays won the series (no sweep but we'll take it!) and the offense was pretty good (we won't talk about last night's game, it was offensive).
Pitching wise Andy Sonnanstine lost on the road for the first time since going 4 - 0. Road trip number 2 record, 1 - 1. Scott Kazmir won the rubber game in Oakland, Jason Hamel picked up the 1st Oakland win and Sonnanstine picked up the Rays only win against the cardinals.
Going .500 on the road trip isn't bad and the Rays are still in 2nd place just 2 games behind Boston. The Rays need to watch out for Baltimore...they pounded the Yankees and Huff always hits the pitching staff well.
