Real Madrid decimate Bournemouth in 6-0 sweep
Bournemouth failed to score a single goal as Real Madrid continued their domination on the field. Cristiano Ronaldo lead the team with the opening goal followed by another which was followed by a goal on half time by Sami Khedira.
The game was much anticipated by the fans as Carlo Ancelloti had put quite a team together. Fans spent the night in line to get their tickets and the turnout was satisfactory.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened the match with u goal on just the seventh minute with his signature free-kick that that went through the side of the post. Ronaldo continued to be the center of attention of the match as the fans pepped him on and he put on quite a show with his arsenal of tricks and skills, obviously enjoying being the star.
Cristiano scored again just after 30 minutes when Real Madrid was given a free kick and Ronaldo took it to spectacularly place it in the nets.
Elliot Ward, who plays center back has been recently integrated into the team by manager Eddie Howe, was benched but was called in to replace Brett Pitman to bring stability to the game. Bournemouth players Brett Pitman and Ryan Fraser managed to put up some good defense but was lacking overall.
Real Madrid began to turn up the heat later in the game and Bournemouth midfielder Shaun Macdonald managed to block one goal attempt by Cristiano but Ronaldo was not to be discouraged, who moments later scored another goal after dodging Darryl Flahavan and evading an offside tactic prepared by Bournemouth.
At half time, the score stood at Real Madrid 3 and Bournemouth 0. Near half time, Ozil took a corner that was taken by Khedira and ended up in the nets despite the Bournemouth defense. With the start of the second half, Gonzalo Higuain was substituted in and scored a goal with efficiency just after two minutes of being in the game. Aaron Flahavan managed to deter his attempt at another goal with a good defense.
Kaka almost managed to score a goal too when he was substituted in when his attempt ricocheted off the post.
Angel Di Maria scored the fifth goal when he smoothly cut the defense of Bournemouth and Casemiro scored the final goal of the match to finish it a spectacular 6-0 win for Real Madrid.
