Thursday is the loneliest day...
Billy and I started the day by stopping at the 7 Eleven to buy ice. Then, on to the track to work at the NASCAR Foundation Tent. The purpose of volunteering was to create awareness about the Track Walk that takes place Sunday morning. The Labonte brothers and Brad Coleman are participating in the Track Walk this time. I don’t think there is a place in the vicinity that Bobby Labonte won’t appear.
It’s a lonely place, a NASCAR track on Thursday. The main midway area is empty as very few of the vendors are open. And to make matters worse, the weather is ruining all plans of happy NASCAR fans flocking to the outside venues. It looks like most are staying in until 6 p.m. when the Nationwide Series is due to qualify. The really big happening tonight is FANDANGO!
Now that the Nationwide Series Qualifying has been rained out, we head back to the car because Billy “has no use for music and that nonsense…” So, we get a chance to attend FANDANGO and my husband decides he needs his rest! I’m pretty dang upset…So I’m signing off for the night. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t have done to see this show and the Cup haulers make their entrance into the track. Hopefully someone from the Community got to attend…
