Well, that didn't go as planned.  The Hawks looked more like New Orleans from last year as they totally crumbled in the 4th quarter.  And in Sacramento, the Spurs played some defense and parlayed that with just a terrible offensive performance by the Kings.  The only thing to do is pick myself up, dust myself off and get back in the game.  It's the last day of the week, so here we go.

COLLEGE HOOPS  (10-8 ATS/12-6 SU/8-10 TOTALS yesterday and 45-37/48-30/39-43 so far for the week)

BUTTA  (1-1 yesterday and 3-3 so far for the week)
1.  PARLAY: Louisville (-500) over St. Louis and Michigan St. (-345) over Harvard - St. Louis was fortunate to get through their 1st round game against NCST on Thursday when they had to come back from a 16-point deficit.  The Billikens won't be so fortunate today as they face what, for my money, is the best team in the tournament in Louisville.  And for Harvard?  Cinderella isn't finding her slipper with the Crimson.
2.  Wright St. (+3) at OHIO - It's not that Ohio is a bad team.  They can just be very undisciplined and careless at times.  That won't play well against Wright St.
3.  SAM HOUSTON ST. (+1) vs. San Diego - San Diego was very impressive in it's opening round game of the CIT, but that was at home.  Sam Houston St. looks like a team that loves to run, and they can fill it up.  At home, I fully expect they will make the Toreros very uncomfortable.

THE NBA  (7-3 ATS/8-2 SU/5-5 TOTALS last night and 24-21/32-12/24-21 so far for the week)

BUTTA  (0-2 last night and 2-3 so far for the week)
JAZZ (-210) over Magic - We don't lay numbers with a team like the Jazz.  Even at home against a bad team like the Magic, (-5) is just too much wood to lay, but the Jazz look like the better team and are worth a look to just win the game.

Most of you probably weren't around for it, but baseball is back!  From Australia, at 4AM CDT, Wade Miley of the D-Backs delivered the first pitch of the 2014 regular season to Yasiel Puig of the Dodgers.  And yes, I was right here watching it.  It was a called strike, and from there, Clayton Kershaw shut down the Snakes for 6 2/3 innings as the Dodgers won the game, 3-1.  Happy days!

Have a super Saturday.  Be careful out there, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
