Since There's So Much News Out There, Here Are Some Exciting Pictures Of The Red Sox New Uniforms.

It's a bit of a slow news day today, unfortunately, but in the absence of a huge MLB trade or some crazy new NCAA coaching rumors, here's something that's exciting to... well... me, and other Red Sox fans.

The Sox have unveiled new uniforms for the 2009 season. It's been a rumor for a little while now, but the official announcement came yesterday. They also announced that they would be using the "Hanging Sox" logo for their new primary logo. They will wear it on their caps when they wear their alternate uniforms.

Without further ado, here are some pics:

Some people like the new jerseys, some don't. Personally, I like them. It's a nice nod to the past, and they don't look as "Yankee-ish" as some people claim. Nicely done, Sox. I approve.

0	I like the road unis a lot those are pretty sweet, as is the new cap. I could live without the alternate unis though.

Alternate cap sucks. Old-English "B" is untouchable. Good thing these will only be worn with alternate unis. At least trim the socks in white to add some depth to the logo.

Roadies are fine but I liked a concept I saw on Bostondirtdogs where the navy "BOSTON" and numbers were trimmed in red. Those looked AWESOME.

Road alts need red piping. They look like some cheap fashion jersey you'd get at Bob's Stores for 20 bucks. They got rid of the blue piping on the Red Home Alts too, which sucks.

0	i don't really prefer any of them over the regular jerseys we have now. we have that identity with those jerseys, and as already said, other teams have jerseys similar to these.
