Redskins’ DeAngelo Hall could miss training camp with ankle injury
"I can't put any pressure on it. It's kind of funky. I've never had this particular injury before. It could take a couple of days, it could take a couple of weeks,” Hall said. “So they're cool with me just sitting down for now and give it time to rest and heal up."
Hall suffered the ankle injury during Monday’s practice when he lost his footing while trying to defend rookie free agent receiver Skye Dawson.
"The young guy, he ran a great route," Hall said of Dawson who emerged as a surprise standout during training camp practices. "Coming out of my break, something just gave out."
The 29-year-old Hall added that he initially though he tore a ligament. But Hall continued to remain up-beat despite the injury on Tuesday, after receiving no reports of fracture or Achilles issues in his right ankle.
"A lot of guys were joking, `Yeah, you wanted a day off,’” Hall said. “I'm like, `Yeah, I wanted a day off, but not like this.’”
