Blog Photo - Rejuvenated Gareth Bale promises to shine at Real MadridGareth Bale is starting to silence his critics at Real Madrid. The Welsh forward claims his rise to form is a result of improvement on his road to recovery. Bale kicked off his Real Madrid career exhausted and suffering from multiple injuries. Even after being cleared by the medical staff Bale’s form was a shadow of his greatness from last season.
Slowly, with the passage of time Bale showed improvement and started to settle down at Real Madrid. The former Tottenham Hotspur star now claims he is finally over his fitness issues and ready to prove his worth to Los Blancos.
Since making a 100-million-euro move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid during the summers Bale has managed to create a new army of critics in Spain. Injury issues a side, Bale hasn’t been able to make a strong impact on the field until now.
With two goals and two assists in Real Madrid’s 7-3 win over Sevilla at the Bernabeu, Bale finally broke into hearts of Madridsta. Bale’s performance grew more impressive in the following games with a goal and three assists coming against Juventus, Rayo Vallencano and Real Sociedad.
Bale told Real Madrid TV that his form was improving with each passing day and he was looking forward to bringing more entertainment to his fans.
“It was just a matter of time,” Bale said. “I needed to get my fitness back, get games, get training. Now everyone has seen what I can do. There is still a lot more to come I know. I just need to keep working now and hopefully there are a lot more goals and assists to come.”
Bale explained that the international break in October was crucial for his recovery. The 24-year-old Wales international claims the break was like a “mini preseason” for him.
“I have just finished my preseason, and there is a lot more to come,” Bale said. “Now hopefully I can score a lot more goals and help the team to achieve big things.”
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has introduced a three-pronged attack at Real Madrid this season with Cristiano Ronaldo on the left, Karim Benzema in the center and Bale on the right. Bale claims he is settling down well at Real Madrid and was enjoying playing beside the “unbelievable” Ronaldo.
“When you play with the greatest players it is easy,” Bale said. “He is unbelievable in his own right. He scores hat tricks every week. He is unbelievable. To be in the same team as him, scoring goals and giving assists, is great for me.”
